University of Auckland

The University is ranked highest in New Zealand. The QS World University Rankings 2020 places the university 83rd. The QS Employability Rankings places the university 71st. Auckland University of Technology

University of Canterbury

The University of Canterbury is one of the oldest universities in New Zealand. The 2017/18 QS World Rankings ranks the university 214th in the world. The University was the first in New Zealand to receive five stars by QS Stars. Its rankings in areas of humanities, arts, natural science, engineering and information technology is also high.

University of Otago

Located in Dunedin, Otago, University of Otago is popular for the impetus it provides to research activities. It is also one of the oldest institutions in New Zealand. The Daily Telegraph and The Huffington Post ranks it as one of the most beautiful university campuses. The university also has a student magazine named,Critic which is the country’s longest running student magazine. The Times Higher Education places the university 201-250 in the ranking, whilst the QS World University Rankings places it 175. Over 18,840 students are registered full-time students. Furthermore, the Academic Ranking of World Universities placed the university 301-400.

Intakes:

The institutions usually have two intakes, these are in February and July respectively. The institution usually takes six weeks to process the application.

Entrance Exams:

To study in New Zealand students need to display adequate English Language proficiency. Depending upon the university and program students can either give an IELTS or PTE. Some management programs require GMAT scores as well.

Time duration of programs:

Undergraduate programs are for three years, whilst Graduate Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma are one year courses. Postgraduate courses last for one to two years.
