Colleges and Universities in Singapore
Founded in 1964 it is a private education and lifelong learning institution in Singapore. It offers more than 80 academic programmes ranging from diploma, graduate diploma, Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes. Catering to over 18,000 students, a large proportion of them are international students. It has two campuses and was amongst the first private education institutions (PEIs) to be registered under the Committee for Private Education’s (CPE) Enhanced Registration Framework, it has also been awarded the EduTrust certification. SIM Global Education was voted one of the top three Best Private Institutes by AsiaOne readers at the AsiaOne People’s Choice Awards 2016.
The academy hosts over 12,000 students from over 50 nationalities and provides to the students a variety of programs, some of which include certificate, diploma, degree and short courses. In 2019, the Academy was awarded “Best Educational Institute - Singapore” by APAC Insider. A large number of programs are offered to the students some of which include accounting, business, cyber security, engineering, hospitality, human resource, computer science, information technology, marketing, media and communication, supply chain management, logistics and much more. Intakes

Entry Requirements
The entry requirements are largely dependent upon the university and course of persuasion. The entry requirements are immensely competitive in nature and you must put your best foot forward to attain admittance. Public universities in Singapore require SAT under graduate programs. Whilst MBA or other Masters course require either a GMAT or GRE varying according to the course. On the other hand, private universities in Singapore need an IELTS / TOEFL. However, in some cases you may not be required to produce the same if you provide a Medium of Instruction Letter (English) from earlier college.

Financial Assistance and Scholarships
The Ministry of Education gives tuition grants to pupils at local universities and polytechnics. Once international students attain tuition grants, they are required to work three years upon graduation. This can be either be at a Singapore registered company or an institute overseas. You can access scholarships either based on academic merit, co-curricular activities, leadership roles. For Indian students SIA-NOL Scholarship and Youth Scholarship are available. Financial Assistance through study loans that is payable upon graduation are offered. Not only bursaries which are awarded on financial needs but tuition fee loan schemes are also awarded to students.

Visa
International students looking to study in Singapore need to attain a Student Pass which can be obtained through the Singapore consulate. However this is only done once the evidence of confirmed enrollment in the program and evidence of funds, which can support students through the education process is attained. Colleges in Singapore usually undertake the visa process for you. Although the processing time is 4 weeks, in some cases it may take longer than that. Not only the education institution but the local sponsor is also notified of the outcome. If you want to go a step further and work in Singapore, you either need to have an employment pass or work permit.
