What Edwise Students says…
“Hi, I am Pooja Das and I will be pursuing my Masters in Fashion Retail Management at University of Arts London (LCF) this year. This is the biggest opportunity for me and would not have been possible without EDWISE. When they say “Edwise is one stop solution for all international study needs” they are 101% correct. I decided to go for my masters while I was working with an organization. It was quite challenging for me to manage my MA applications and my official work. I heard about EDWISE from one of my faculties at NIFT and went to their office for assistance. My counselor has been a great adviser and mentor to me; she helped me to apply for all the universities, informed me about the events related to my chosen universities and updated me with the interview dates and their results. She also assisted me in applying for my visa and was always there to answer my queries promptly. The counselors are very professional, friendly and helpful. The relation with EDWISE however doesn't end here; you are always welcome to seek advise even after you get selected by your desired university. My experience with EDWISE has been wonderful. Thank you Team Edwise.“

5 Tips to Make the Most Out Of Your Study Abroad Experience

Try to start university with an open mind.

If there is ever a time in your life when you should question everything you believe, it is now. When starting university, you will encounter lots of new people, ideas and ways of life, and you should try not to arrive with ANY preconceived notions about them. The habits that you might look at as weird at first, you could end up adopting and become a lifelong believer in.

Don’t be a social recluse.

My friends are always so proud about how they brought a full gaming platform and the biggest TV that can physically fit in their dorm. Whoop-de-do. If you define your happiness in college by the success of your World of Warcraft character, you are going to have a very miserable time. My advice would be, just don’t play video games. Or if you really want to, don’t play video games alone. Join clubs, talk to your dorm-mates, be sociable.

10 Things You Should Know Before Studying Abroad

Studying abroad is an exciting and rewarding experience, but it definitely requires a lot of research and background knowledge. When I left to go to Barcelona, I thought that I was pretty well-prepared, but I quickly realized that I was not, at all. There is a lot more to it than just going to school and having fun on the weekends (or weeknights). Here are some things you should definitely know before you leave to go abroad.

  • Make sure your credits will transfer - This is so important. I know, I know, you already know. But, my freshman year I knew a senior who had to take 24 credits each semester because she had studied abroad the spring of her junior year and none of the credits transferred. You don’t want that to be you. So check, and check, and check again. Once you get there, check again. Don’t wait until you’ve come back, and your school says that you’re missing 16 credits to realize that none of them transferred.

  • Learn Military time - This is a useful skill to have. Since pretty much every other country besides the United States goes by military time, it’s handy to know. I was pretty lucky since I have been using military time since I changed my Facebook language to English (UK), which changed all the times to military time, so I had become familiar with it. But booking plane tickets and things, everything is in military time, which can get confusing if you don’t know it. (14:00 does not equal 4pm).
