Study in UK Application Procedures

UK application process varies greatly between different levels of education and types of institution, so make sure you find out all the details for your chosen course.

First, ensure you meet the entry requirements – don’t waste time applying for a course that you’re not eligible for! These requirements will relate to your qualifications, your English language skills, and whether you will be able to secure a visa.

Give yourself enough time. Many English language courses and shorter further education courses have start dates throughout the year, but most other courses start in September or October, and the deadline for applications can be up to a year in advance.

The application process can be nerve-wracking, but if you complete everything you’re asked for – and ask for help if you need it! – then this is just the beginning of your UK Education.

What Edwise Students say...

“Hi, I am Pooja Das going for my Masters in Fashion Retail Management at University of Arts London (LCF) this year. This is the biggest opportunity for me and would not have been possible without EDWISE. When they say “Edwise is one stop solution for all international study needs” they are 101% correct. I decided to go for my masters while I was working with an organisation. It was quite challenging for me to manage my MA applications and my official work. So I heard about EDWISE from one of my faculties from NIFT and went to their office for assistance. I was determined to apply for UAL, but the advisers guided me to choose other top universities as well . My counselor was from Delhi South Ex branch. She has been a great adviser and mentor to me; she helped me to apply for all the universities, informed me about the events related to my chosen universities, updated me with the interview dates and their results. She also helped me to apply for my visa and was always there to answer my queries very promptly. The counselors are very professional, friendly and helpful. The best part is that the relation with EDWISE doesn't end here; you are always welcome to seek advise even after you get selected at your desired university. My experience with EDWISE has been wonderful.”

Universities in UK gives you the chance to study what, where and how you want

  • There are thousands of exciting courses and qualifications on offer in the UK – whether you’re interested in accountancy, creative arts or zoology. Or what about 19th century poetry, international business, or dance?
  • Many UK courses have a ‘modular’ structure. This means you can build a personalized course by choosing modules or units of study from different subject areas. For example, if you are studying for a bachelor’s degree in English literature, you could choose one module on Science fiction, one module on Children’s literature, one module on Short stories, etc.
  • If you are interested in more than one subject, you could study a combination – many institutions offer courses such as Philosophy and English literature, or Tourism with French, for example.
  • Many courses can be studied full-time or part-time. If you need a visa to study in the UK, check your immigration status allows you to join a part-time course.
  • There are also many shorter courses for students who want to gain an undergraduate qualification in just one or two years, and summer schools for those looking to experience UK student life while building their knowledge, learning new skills or preparing for further study.
  • You can enter UK education at any age and level. If you don’t yet have the qualifications or English language skills you need to apply for your chosen course, there are lots of preparatory courses and qualifications you can take. A foundation or access course, for example, will help you meet the entry requirements for university.
Father of Y.S. Biviji had a remarkable experience at Edwise says

“I am writing to you to show our appreciation for the services rendered by Edwise to my daughter, Miss Attiya Biviji. Attiya chose the University though she had received unconditional offers from 10 Universities in UK as also scholarships ranging from 3000 pounds. Attiya and I wish to thank you for persuading Attiya to select it, diligently following up with the University for getting unconditional offer letter and for arranging her accommodation. Attiya can work in UK for two more years on the completion of her MSc.

The visa counselor of Edwise painstakingly assisted us in preparing Attiya's visa application. We must thank him for his meticulousness as result of which she got her visa the next day.

Edwise’ predeparture briefing at Nehru Centre was very well organized and Attiya benefited in many ways by attending it. She could interact with alumni of UK universities (including those from University of Strathclyde) and started networking with other Edwise students going to Strathclyde. Also helpful was your pre-departure pack notably 'International Students Support Guides' on 'Working during your Studies' and on 'Working in the UK after Graduating'.

Lastly your partner Blue star Air Travel managed to get Air ticket to London when other 3 travel agents could not do so. I must also mention that we had approached other two Education Consultants but the speed and the quality of response which we got from Edwise was markedly superior.

I am sure Edwise will continue with its good work and assist many students like Attiya in their quest for foreign education.”

Benefits from Studying in UK

Studying in the UK offers you valuable benefits – the chance to experience a new culture, immerse yourself in the English language and discover the UK’s countryside and cities.

The first step in planning your UK education is to figure out what stage you are at, and what you want to achieve from your course – to gain skills and qualifications for a particular career? To improve your English? To build your knowledge of a subject you’re interested in?

With more than 40,000 Indian students studying in UK universities and UK colleges it clearly emerges as a popular choice among students aspiring to study abroad. UK is traditionally recognized for its high class studies and research excellence. It has been the top choice of quality focused students and continues to be at the forefront of knowledge and innovation delivered through an array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

When choosing a course to study in UK, check that the course provider is a reputable UK school, college or university that is recognized by the UK government and education bodies.

The quality and standard of a university's teaching and its general facilities are evaluated by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).

The cost of education for an international student in the UK can be lower as compared to other countries especially in case of postgraduate studies as the duration of most programs is one year against other places where the tenure of study tends to be more than a year.

Rakesh Gopal, a student pursuing his masters in finance from Exeter University says “my decision to come to university in UK was vindicated the moment I reached the university. It’s a wonderful transition to student life here with all kinds of facilities and support available along with meeting people all over the world. Settling into my academic schedule made me value the quality of education I was receiving”

The UK Visa is quite easy to obtain and the process is pretty streamlined for genuine applicants who have received an offer/CAS and are able to show the required funding available. The new student visa process under the Tier 4 of the Points Based System is simpler, more transparent and user-friendly for international students.

We at Edwise streamline and personalize the process for each student irrespective of their destination, institution, course or any level of study. Our team of experienced professionals will provide you individual attention and exceptional guidance throughout your process of application. We provide assistance related to course selections, admission, visa, bank-loan and scholarships. We also host university delegates from New Zealand Universities, Colleges in Canada, Universities in USA etc for direct student interaction and all these services are provided free of cost. We have established since 1991 and have been maintaining strong networks with over 525 universities in 14 countries, hence giving us a unique insight into the finest educational establishments worldwide.
