No Language Barrier:

Singapore has a total of four national languages and English is one among them. Hence, language is not a problem here. It is quite easy and comfortable to get around in Singapore. International students can quickly adjust here because 75% of the country's population can speak English. Most importantly, the official language of education in Singapore is English. Therefore, international students don't feel alien here.

Moderate Climate:

Singapore has a tropical rainforest climate with no distinctive seasons. The temperature does not vary much and ranges from 22 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees. This moderate climate is conducive to living. It is a green city with the highest area under a cover of trees in spite of its urbanization. The moderate climate throughout the year makes it an attractive destination for students across the world.

Visa and Immigration:

International students wishing to study in Singapore will need to obtain a student visa. When you get your letter of approval, you will also be issued a visa by your institution. Within two weeks of your acceptance, you will need to apply to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) for a Student Pass. This also needs to be no earlier than two months and no later than one month before the start to your course. This process will be done through the Student’s Pass Online Application and Registration System (SOLAR). You will be given registration details by your institution, which you will use to fill in and submit the required forms. You will then need to complete the process once you have arrived in the country. To do this, you will need to make an appointment with the ICA and take with you the disembarkation/embarkation card that you were granted on entry to Singapore.

Standard of Living:

One of the areas where Singapore scores high is the standard of living. This is one of the reasons why expats from all over the world move to Singapore. In fact, Singapore is regarded as the easiest city to adjust in Asia, specifically for international students. Being home to a large number of foreigners, the well-known financial centre of Asia also offers a diverse background to international students.

Mixed Culture:

Singapore is a home to a variety of cultures. One is sure to experience different culture styles. It has a combination of Arab, Indian, Chinese and Malaysian cultures.
